Terms of Service
Effective date: March 23, 2026
1. About Hermez
Hermez is a developer tunneling service that creates secure WebSocket tunnels between a public URL on the hermez.one domain and a server running on your local machine. It is built and operated by a single independent developer. By using Hermez, you agree to these terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your credentials secure. Do not share your API keys or allow others to use your account.
One account per person. Registering multiple accounts to circumvent tier limits is a violation of these terms and may result in all associated accounts being terminated.
3. Acceptable Use
Hermez tunnels are intended for legitimate development and testing purposes. You may not use the service to:
- Expose services that distribute malware, child sexual abuse material, or other illegal content.
- Conduct unauthorized network scanning, penetration testing against systems you do not own, or any activity that interferes with other users of the platform.
- Send spam or facilitate phishing campaigns through a tunnel endpoint.
- Circumvent the per-tier tunnel, subdomain, or domain limits through automated account creation or other means.
- Use tunnel endpoints as persistent production infrastructure beyond what your tier is intended for (e.g. running a high-traffic commercial application on Chelys).
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
4. Subscription Tiers
Hermez is available on the following subscription tiers. Limits are enforced by the platform and are not negotiable outside of a plan upgrade.
- Chelys (Free) — 3 concurrent tunnels, random subdomains only, basic request logs with 1-hour retention and a 100-entry rolling cap.
- Inventor — 5 tunnels, 3 reserved subdomains, 1 custom domain, 1,000-entry rolling cap, 3-day log retention.
- Petasos — 15 tunnels, 5 reserved subdomains, 5 custom domains, full request and response body capture, 5,000-entry rolling cap, 30-day retention, request replay.
- Talaria — Unlimited tunnels, subdomains, and domains. Full log detail, 90-day retention, no rolling cap, request replay, and log export.
Pricing is subject to change. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance of any pricing changes that affect their active plan.
5. No Warranty and Service Availability
Hermez is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. There is no uptime SLA. The service may experience planned or unplanned downtime, and features may change or be removed without prior notice.
As an independent project, we make no representation that the service is fit for any particular purpose, including production workloads. Use it accordingly.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hermez and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to data loss, lost revenue, or service interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it and cancel your subscription.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, without prior notice and without obligation to refund any unused subscription period.
You may delete your account at any time from the danger zone in your dashboard settings. Deletion is permanent and removes all associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
